Overview

Pet Tales is a platform dedicated to simplifying pet care for pet owners. It connects users with essential pet-related services such as veterinary consultations, grooming, and pet supplies. The goal was to enhance the overall user experience and improve accessibility for pet owners while creating a design that reflected their love and care for their furry companions.

Context

Pet ownership is rising, creating a demand for effective care solutions. However, many existing apps lack usability and personalization. This case study explores a user-centered pet care app that addresses these issues by incorporating user feedback to enhance the experience.

Problem Statement

Pet Training Challenges: Pet owners find training difficult and distrust trainers, online or offline.
Health and Nutrition Concerns: Sourcing quality, healthy pet food can be difficult and uncomfortable.
Trust Issues with Online Platforms: Pet owners are hesitant to rely on online brands for quality services and products, impacting their purchasing decisions.
Time Management: Balancing study, work, and life challenges pet care routines.

My Role

As a UX designer, I was responsible for user research, wireframing, prototyping, and testing. I collaborated with my team to identify user pain points, create intuitive designs, and ensure a seamless experience for pet owners.

Most users are aged 18 to 45, balancing work and pet care.
Pet owners use multiple apps or offline services, creating a fragmented experience.
Competitors offer categories like food, toys, and grooming supplies but lack personalization.

Pet Tales was created to simplify and unify these needs into one platform.
